Hind wing with vein 5 from near upper angle of cell, 6 and 7 stalked, 8 arched at base and connected with the cell before middle by an oblique bar; lower discocellular long oblique and distinctly angled nearer its upper end. Frenulum and retinaculum well developed in male, very weak and nearly rudimentary in female. Apex of the abdomen bent down in female. This genus is distinctly allied to Phiala. *1.
