Ohio, in a general planting of Montmorency trees and when we first saw the tree it was about 10 years of age and loaded down with fruit, having a heavier crop than any other trees adjoining it. All trees had the same attention and Mr Mumma savs it had always borne this large type of Montmorency. The tree is vigorous but not any larger than other trees. The fruits have the same rich red color as other Montmorency cherries but seems to be slightly more mild in flavor. Its immense size immediately attracted our attention We grew several hundred trees of this type for Mr Mumma's own planting and after further observation now i)a« it on to our customers at
