Some cases show a remission of the temperature which beginsat the ninth day of the disease, and is not completed until the fifteenthday. This is occasionally seen in cases in which there are apparentlyno complications. The more common type is that in which the. Of 57 cases of lobar pneumonia in which a reliablehistory could be obtained, the temperature fell by crisis in 36 andby lysis in 21 cases. The crisis, as a rule, occurs from the fifth tothe ninth day of the disease (60 per cent, of my cases). After the
