WAITSBURG, Army Corps of Engineers, compliance biologist Benjamin W. Morris, wades through the Touchet River checking for fish; before Corps contractors worked on Monday, Aug. 20, to rehabilitate flood damaged areas of the Waitsburg Levee System, in Waitsburg, Washington. The Levee was damaged by sustained high flows during the 2017 Flood Season. The Corps is committed to reducing risk to life safety by working with stakeholders toward long-term sustainable solutions to flood risk challenges.
