An Illyrian helmet,6th/5th century Bronze. Hemisperical skull with unusually tall sides,narrow face cutout,long,wide and pierced cheek pieces,the crest base contoured by shallow ridges,small pointed cutouts on the sides and a narrow,flanged neck rim. The face aperture and the perimeter of the helmet decorated with embossed circle ornaments. Height 26 cm,weight 721 g. Blue-green to dark brown patina,earthy deposits and antique textile remains on inside,losses to the left rear,small perforations.
