D., andlater for post-graduate work in Philosophy fromLincoln College, Illinois, with the degree A. M. In1902, after one years study in the Xew Testamentand Philosophy, he received the degree S. T. Hartford Theological Seminary. After whichhe spent two years at Tsu and Yamado, Province otLe. Japan, as a missionary. The year 1905-06 wassiient in the University of Chicago in graduate studyin the Xew Testament and Psychology.
