GERMANY UNDER ALLIED OCCUPATION 1945 - Major H P G L O'Connor of the Allied Military Government's Public Safety Department, inspects a line of new policemen in Hanover. With Major O'Connor is Irwin Barth, Police-President of Hanover from April 1945. Barth had held this position from 1928 until 1933, when he was dismissed by Hitler.
