Re-signed in Jan., 1882 ; re-appointed, Nov. 10, and pro-moled to , Feb. 2. 1863. In command of De-partment of Arkansas, 1864-ti6. Appointed Col. 26thU. s. Inf., July 28, 1866; transferred f Mth Ipf, J«>-,1870. and to 3d Cav., Dec 15. 1870. Brevel gallantry in the war, and retired.
