A sj)leMdid climbing plant from Central Mexico, produc- ing rose-colored flowers in racemes 2 feet long. The pro- fusion of its bloom is such as to give the reserablatice of roses at a distance ; hence its Mexican name Rosa de Mon- tana, or Mountain Rose. Described by its discoverer as the most beautiful climber he had ever beheld. This i)lant is moderately hardy, with protection. The vines are killed to the ground by frost; but as this plant has tuber- ous roots, it quickly shoots up in the spring and develops its flowers from June till frost. 30 cts. each ; 4 for $ Ampelopsis VeitchiâJapanese CreeperâBoston Creeper. AMPELOPSIS VEITCHL (Miniature Virginia Creeper.) An entirely hardy Ampelopsis of Japanese origin. It grows as rapidly as the old Virginia Creeper, and attains a height of 50 feet. It clings lirraly to any wall, tree, etc. The leaves are small on young plants, which at first are of an olive-green brown color, changing to bright scarlet in the autumn. As the plant acquires age the leaves increase in size. This variety becomes more popular every season, and is without a rival. 25 cts. each ; â $ per doz.; extra large, 50 cts. each ; $ per doz. Ampelopsis Quinquefolia (Virginia Creeper). A very ra))id grower, with large dark green foliage, which changes in the fall to scarlet. 25 cts. each ; $ per doz. AQUILEGIA CHRYSANTHA.
