Aortic Arch Angiogram

This color enhanced, left anterior oblique (rotated frontal view) from an aortic arch angiogram shows the typical findings in a subclavian steal syndrome. There is complete occlusion of the left subclavian artery (orange) proximal to the left vertebral artery. This later phase image shows retrograde opacification of the left vertebral artery and the left subclavian artery distal to the proximal subclavian artery occlusion. Also note the moderately severe stenosis (narrowing) of the proximal left internal carotid artery (red).
