No. 91,032. This cylinder was found amongthe ruins of a palace of Sennacherib under the mound of Nabi YunU,and was bought by Colonel J. Taylor, Consul-General of Baghdadin 1830, from whose representatives it was bought by the Trusteesof the British Museum in 1855. the corridor whichpassed the cham-bers and led tothe river, and aconsiderable num-ber were kicked onto the river frontby the feet of theterrified fugitivesfrom the palacewhen it was set onfire. The tabletsfound by Layardwere of differentsizes ; the largestwere rectangular,flat on one sideand convex on theother, and mea-sured about 9 ins,by 6| ins., andthe smallest wereabout an inchsquare.
