Americana - derelict building on Rte. 17 in Georgia

Along Rte 17 in Georgia, derelict and stores were often fronts for illegal drinking and gambling dens on the route to Florida. All were abandoned when Interstate 95 was completed and the road was bypassed. Now abandoned structures, like this graffitti covered white cinderblock house, seen in medium long shot from right and surrounded by dense, dark green brush and trees, bear witness to an earlier era.
