A large audience had gathered on September 29, 1940 to listen to the inauguration of the Gävle Museum via mounted speakers. Further back in the picture can be seen that a large number of audience was also on the other side of Gavleån at the Grand Hotel. En stor publik hade samlats den 29 september 1940 för att lyssna till invigningen av Gävle Museum via uppmonterade högtalare. Längre bak i bilden går att se att en stor mängd publik även fanns på andra sidan Gavleån vid Grand Hotel.
