The remains of a baking oven at the site of the Crags Hotel, Eldorado Springs near Denver.


The old baking over is one of the few visible remains of the Crags Hotel, Eldorado Springs, Colorado. The hotel opened in 1908 and, for a few short years until it was destroyed by fire in 1912, was visited by a number of celebrities of the time and the well to do from Denver. The site is littered with artifacts from the hotel, mostly china, glass, pottery and building materials. the remains of an ornamental pond and fountain is also clearly visible. Today the remains can be accessed from the Rattle Snake Gulch trail in the Eldorado Springs State Park.
