The ruins of Top Withens, sometimes spelled Top Withins, are silhouetted at sunset on the moors above Stanbury, near Haworth, West Yorkshire. The ruins high on the Pennine hills are reputed to be the setting for Emily Bronte's Wuthering Heights. They stand on the Pennine Way, a 271-mile National Trail which goes from Edale in Derbyshire to Kirk Yetholm in southern Scotland.
