Mr. Hutchins tells us this is theresult of the most careful selectionand development from a single plantand of strict adherence to the truetype. I should select seed of thisinstead of the usual Countess of Rad-nor seed. The Countess of Shrewsbury sweet-pea is one of Mr. Eckfords 1897 in-troductions. The standard is a verydelicate rose-pink, while the wingsare clear white, sometimes slightlysuffused with a faint pink.
