The spectacular images show the outside of the castle, which still looks like something out of a Disney film, while inside the true damage is revealed. Piles of rubble are strewn throughout the building as staircases and walls have crumbled while the floors have been ripped out. Englishman Edward Milner was commissioned in 1866 by Liedekerke-Beaufort family to build Château Miranda in Belgium, more recently known as Château de Noisy. Milner was a darling of the Victorian garden movement, becoming the principle of London’s Crystal Palace School for Gardening. The pictures were snapped by Belgian security guard and amateur photographer Provost Kenneth (31) from Ostend.
