Coloured scanning electron micrograph (SEM) of Powdery mildew mould hyphae and spores (Podosphaera fusca). Podosphaera fusca is a fungus from the family Erysipaceae that is a phytopathogen. It can cause of powdery mildew in melons and gourds. Moulds can produce allergic reactions and cause serious plant damage. Note the spores being produced on the ends of the fungal hyphae. Magnification: x400 when shortest axis printed at 25 millimetres.
