Shultz, 1st Mission Support Command commanding general, and their respective staff members. Hundreds of Veterans, family members and many Veterans associations assisted to this event welcomed by Mr. Agustin Montañez Allman from the Veterans Affairs Procurement Office in Puerto Rico. Leading the government officials in this event was Luis G. Rivera Marín, Secretary of State of Puerto Rico, representing the Governor of Puerto Rico, Hon. Ricardo A. Rosselló Nevares. Despite the pouring rain the ceremony went according to plan as people lined up at the Red Cross tent to get water filters, bottled water and other services. The day’s event ended with varied music from the PRNG 248th Army Band who kept dozens stuck to the stage area even after the official ceremony was over. (National Guard photos by 1st Sgt.
