Kellogg came to Emporiain 1865, as president of the State NormalSchool. Afterwards he was probate judge,representative, state senator, and attorneygeneral. In all these positions he ac-quitted himself with credit, and per-formed his duty conscientiously and withmarked ability to the interests of the peo-ple of Kansas.
