The Esopus creekwinds in and out, and lingers lovingly among the little patchesof mountain meadow ; and visitors are always delighted withthis bit of the Ulster and Delaware valley. But the train now speeds on this northerly course for aboutthree miles, barely finding room between the assertive oldcreek and the wagon road for its track, so aggressive are themountains on either
