About one hundred and seventy miles from Forty Mile,to the west, the Yukon flats are encountered, and justwithin them is located the mining camp of Circle City,which was founded in the fall of 1894. It is the dis-tributing point for the vast regions surrounding BirchCreek, which flows into the Yukon two hundred andtwenty-five miles below.
