A week earlier I heard and saw a number in the meadow, and I have no doubt that a half dozen or Grasshopper Spar- rows nest regularly in the region, but they are so shy and have such a habit of sneaking under the grass and remaining out of sight that it is almost an accident to find 10 / nil oi the Ldiioou (111(1 Its Holder Land.
