An Indian gold-inlaid jambiya, Deccan, West coast, circa 1800, Double-edged wootz Damascus blade with central ridge on both sides. Iron grip embellished with chiselled flower ornaments and gold inlays. The velvet-covered scabbard with openwork brass chape and attached (later) silk hanger.
