An appalling cataclysm, 1932. 'Un Épouvantable Cataclysme'. Buildings are torn apart and people are killed and injured during the destruction of Saint-Denis de la Réunion. A tropical cyclone hit Saint-Denis in Réunion, a French territory in the Indian Ocean, on 4 February 1932. At least 90 people died, with more than 41,000 made homeless or otherwise affected.
