Dr Margaret Ebunoluwa \Maggie\" Aderin-Pocock (), British space scientist and communicator. She was born in London and was educated at Imperial College. She was awarded a degree in 1990 and a doctorate in mechanical engineering in 1994. She has worked in a range of government and private companies, most recently in the design of spectrographs and similar instruments for telescopes and satellites. Aderin-Pocock is most famous for being an inspiring communicator of science, especially to school-age children, and since 2014 has been a presenter of \"The Sky at Night\" on BBC television. As a dyslexic herself, she is especially keen to show how science is accessible to anyone. She was awarded an MBE in 2009."
