NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (Jan. 5, 2017) -- Boatswain's Mate 1st Class Raymond White, assigned to Pre-Commissioning Unit Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78), is frocked to the rank of petty officer first class by Boatswain's Mate 1st Class Brandon Thomas during a frocking ceremony in the ship's foc'sle. More than 170 Ford Sailors advanced from the September Navy-wide advancement exam.
