NAVAL SUPPORT ACTIVITY SOUDA BAY, Greece (July 15, 2022) The Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer USS Forrest Sherman (DDG 98), homeported at Naval Station Norfolk, Norfolk, Va., arrives at the Marathi NATO Pier Complex in Souda Bay, Greece, for a scheduled port visit, July 15, 2022. Naval Support Activity Souda Bay is an operational ashore base that enables , Allied, and Partner nation forces to be where they are needed when they are needed to preserve security and stability in the European, African, and Central Command areas of responsibility.
