The Swinhoe Pheasant (G. szvinhoei) seems to fall inthis group, but is quite distinct from its congeners. It isnot rare in confinement and is a most brilliant andpleasing bird. The general color of the cock is a metallicblackish-blue, with white crest and central tail upper back is white also, with a bright patch of ma-roon at each side.
