Garlic mustard, Alliaria petiolata -white flowers and young leaves from above.

Alliaria petiolata commonly known as Garlic mustard grows wild in woodland clearings, gardens and on roadsides. It has been used for centuries to flavour food and as a herbal medicine. It is edible and can be used like spinach, raw in salads or used to flavour sauces. Large quantities should not be eaten raw due to cyanide levels in the plant.
