Chief Master Sgt. Edward Keenan, 569th Forces Police Squadron security forces manager, salutes a wreath on display during a 9/11 retreat ceremony Sept. 11, 2015, at Ramstein Air Base, Germany. The wreath served as a tribute to the nearly 3,000 lives lost 14 years ago when terrorists hijacked four airplanes resulting in one of the largest domestic terrorist attacks in history. The ceremony paid tribute to those lost, including the first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice helping people escape the collapsing World Trade Center towers.
