M25 Colne Valley Motorway Service Area proposed site, Iver Heath, Bucks - planning application PL/20/4332/OA

This good quality farmland is the site of the proposed new M25 Colne Valley Motorway Service Area, west of Chandlers Hill, Iver Heath in Buckinghamshire UK. A proposed continuation of green belt erosion by South Bucks District Council/Bucks County Council. The M25 has managed without a Service Area along this stretch since its opening 35 years ago in 1986. The loss of habitat for deer, pheasants, owls, red kites, crows, rabbits etc is patently obvious, as is the destruction of perfectly good farmland. Some of the trees in this coppice have been cut down by the electricity suppliers, for maintenance or future removal of overhead power cables.
