LLOYD DAVID McAFEE REV. LLOYD DAVID McAFEE is an energetic and suc-cessful minister of the C. M. E. connection and resides inColumbus, where he has made his home for a number ofyears, although a native of Crawford county, having been bornthere August 28, 1870. His father, Thomas McAfee, who is stillalive (1916) is a farmer, and was a slave before mother was Susanna (Walker) McAfee. Back of his par-ents he knows nothing of his ancestry. He worked hard, as a boy, on the farm in Crawford countyand there availed himself of such opportunities as the poor pub-lic schools of that day afforded.
