The general arrangemeilt of these trailer;, which is simi-lar to that of the companys standard motor cars, is shown inthe accompanying drawing. They have center entrances 8 ins. wide. The front of the car is aclosed compartment, andthe rear can be either open or closed as far as the windows areconcerned, but it is always open at the entrances, as there isno partition between it and the entrance. As will be noticed,-^. These side sills are of I-beams reinforced withwood. On the step side the I-beam is bent slightly inwardand trussed, so that the steps need not project as far as if theedge of the top step were
