In the subsequentvolume, (the xiii^), at pages 81-4, and at pages 367-80, will befound (with a portrait) a further description of her, and a report ofher great match with Boston on Long Island, for the championshipof the Turf. The portrait alluded to was executed on the samecanvass representing one of her half brother Mariner, to neither ofwhich was adequate justice done by the different artists em-ployed, though an extravagant price was paid both to the painterand the engraver. Under these circumstances, the publisher ofthe Turf Register has felt it due alike to Fashion, her owner,and to his subscribers, to endeavor to procure
