For example, suppose we have an 18-inchbuff and wish to have 14,000 feet of the edge of the buff passthe surface of the work per minute. Taking the 18-inch lineon the base, and following it up to where it crosses the 14,000curve, then following horizontally to the left, we find thatthe buff must have a speed of about 3,000 revolutions perminute. 222 T
