Leaves of Hemidesmus indicus. The roots of this plant are used in Ayurvedic formulations for skin and stomach complaints. It can also be made into herbal tea. Hemidesmus indicus called sariva (shwet sariva) in Sanskrit is a small perennial climber found almost all over India. There are two main forms of this plant, one with narrow, almost linear leaves and the other with broader leaves. Leaves shown here are of the latter form.
