Southampton,Hampshire Thursday 16th June 2016 Armed Police Guard Flood Puddle in Southampton after Two vehicles where trapped in flood water after flash flooding hitting Southampton this afternoon. Emergency services are attending the incident on the A27 near Chilworth. A Spokesperson from Southampton City Council said "there is flooding on the A27 to Chilworth at the end of Bassett Avenue where police are currently assisting two vehicles have became stuck in the flash flooding water. The A27 towards Romsey has been closed as it not passable and is likely to be closed for a number of hour. Armed response officer who answered the call to free the motorists had to push the vehicles out of the water that is said to be knee deep. ©UKNIP
