It has been shown from the characteristic curvein Fig. VIII that the valve acts as a relay; a current ofany form impressed on the grid circuit can be repeatedwith amplification in the plate or output circuit. It isbecause of the extreme mobility of electrons that thisrelaying action may take place at both audio and radiofrequencies.
