Ears W%" diameter with 12-16 rows, usually 14; deeper and narrower than those of Golden Cross Bantam and a little lighter in color. The yield is higher, in both gross weight and husked corn. * IOCHIEF (y) 7 S% 87 Developed at the Iowa Experiment Station by E. S. Haber and recently introduced. Plant sturdy, with few suckers and con- siderably resistant to lodging and to drought. Ears 14-18 rowed, with deep and narrow light golden kernels.
