5TH FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (June 13, 2018) A Marine CH-53E Super Stallion with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 162 (Reinforced), 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), prepares to land aboard the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7) in the 5th fleet area of operations, June 13, 2018. The 26th MEU and IWO ARG are deployed to the 5th Fleet AO to support Maritime Security Operation to reassure partners and allies, preserve freedom of navigation, and freeflow of commerce.
