Mendez (right), from Tularosa, New Mexico, is recognized as Trident Refit Facility, Bangor's (TRFB) Junior Sailor of the Quarter, second quarter, fiscal year 2022. Senior Chief Machinist’s Mate Allen Schacherl (left) presented the award. TRFB supports the nation’s strategic deterrence mission repairing, incrementally overhauling, and modernizing Pacific Fleet strategic ballistic missile submarines during refits.
