Typhoon fighter plane aerodynamics simulation. The blue lines show the air flow around the aircraft. The Eurofighter Typhoon has been developed as the most advanced fighter jet in the world. The two small forewings make it aerodynamically unstable, so it is flown by a computerised flight control system. This allows great agility and a great degree of automation. Its two Eurojet EJ200 turbofan engines fly it at speeds of up to Mach 2. It is designed for many different weapons configurations. The Eurofighter is a joint project between the UK, Germany, Italy, and Spain. It began in 1994. The first Eurofighter Typhoons are scheduled to enter service in 2003.
