STRAIT (Aug. 15, 2018) United States Merchant Marine Academy Cadet Brandon Gyrion works at the navigation table aboard the Spearhead-class expeditionary fast transport ship USNS Carson City (T-EPF 7) while transiting the Dardanelles Strait Aug. 15, 2018. Carson City is the seventh of nine expeditionary fast transport ships in Military Sealift Command's inventory with a primary mission of providing rapid transport of military equipment and personnel in theater via its 20,000 square foot reconfigurable mission bay area and seating for 312 passengers.
