Eobert Elder, Sr., came from DauphinCounty, Pennsylvania, in 1813, and boughtfrom Mr. Funk fractional section No. 10,which contained about six hundred acres,on which he and his family settled; thisland is yet owned in the family. died October 3, 1825, and his wifeSeptember 20, 1827. Two of his sons yetreside in the township—Robert and John,the former being in his eightieth and thelatter in his seventy-fourth year, and thename is largely represented by worthydes
