Trans Pennine Express (TPE) class 185 Desiro diesel multiple unit (dmu) number (built by Siemens) 185 118 entering Carnforth station with the Lancaster to Arnside passenger service having just left the West Coast main Line. This service would normally operate to Barrow in Furness but Arnside viaduct (Kent viaduct) is being refurbished with a new deck and is closed from 28 March to 19 July 2011 with buses replacing trains between Arnside and Grange over Sands on the Furness line. Class 33 diesel number 33 030 is to the right of the dmu in part of West Coast Railways depot on the site of the old Carnforth shed and, later, Steamtown railway museum.
