VICENZA, Italy -- Sky Soldiers from 2nd Battalion (The Rock), 503rd Infantry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade, wait anxiously in the rain for a unique PT event at Caserma Del Din in Vicenza, Italy, culminating in a mile sprint in full combat equipment. The 173rd Airborne Brigade is the Army's Contingency Response Force in Europe, providing rapidly deployable forces to the Army Europe, Africa, and Central Command areas of responsibility within 18 hours.
