Caledonia mine, Wardner, Shoshone County in 1912-1914 and during this period the Last Chance was mining above the No. 1 level and encountered some well crystallized mate- rial. The Sierra Nevada, on Deadwood Gulch, an dd flat vein in which the ore, mined out in the early days of the district, was all oxidized, was reopened about this time by Drew Peeples, who re- worked some of the old rejected material in the stopes and mined out some pillars of rich ore.
