Nicolas Remene / Le Pictorium - Mali: the anti-French feeling - 16/3/2022 - Mali / Bamako District / Bamako - AlHousseini Ag Aghali, here at his home in Gouana, an outlying neighborhood of Bamako, Mali, where he lives with his family. AlHousseini is an artisan, making leather goods and some Tuareg jewelry. He had to leave Timbuktu in 2012 because he felt threatened by working with tourists. He now lives in Gouana, a suburb of Bamako, where he has found refuge with his family. He is not in favor of the departure of the French today, because for him they are good partners and they have brought security but also work. He used to sell handicrafts to the soldiers.
