Pilosity abundant^ but rather shorter than in type or race minor. Mandibles striate. Head and tliorax, instead of being coarsely reticulate, are coarsely longitudinally rugose, the rugae being connected here and there by transverse bars. Petiole coarsely reticulate-rugose.
